After finally settling in back home and into university after an amazing last few weeks of Summer in America (blog post coming soon), I am straight into Autumn/Winter clothes for a chilly October...and I'm pretty happy about it too. Don't get me wrong, I love Summer and being able to wear pretty dresses and bikini's all day long but when it comes to my favourite fashion pieces- leather, layering, knits and winter boots definitely win my vote.
My A/W wardrobe has been coming together fast the last few weeks and although I have a few classic leather jackets that I bring out every year I wanted one that made more of a statement. Right now all over Pinterest, Instagram and stores like Zara - words and quotes are getting printed and embroidered all over clothes. I absolutely love this trend and was on the hunt for a denim or leather jacket that had something interesting on the back.
I have been lusting over the Gucci and ACNE heavily detailed leather jackets for ages now but when I found this Mango leather jacket with lots of little white messages on the back I couldn't have been more obsessed! I tend to stick to a certain colour palette during the colder months so this jacket will be great to wear with anything in my wardrobe this season! It's great for jazzing up a simple outfit and standing out from the crowd.
I'm not the biggest fan of double denim but I really am loving double leather at the moment- A leather skirt is perfect for this in-between season weather. I always find it difficult at this time of year as I don't want to be super wrapped up but I also want to wear my new winter purchases. I love this new skirt I got from Topshop, the belt is such a cute detail and I can't wait to style it in different ways like tucking chunky knits into it or dressing it up at night time, it's such a versatile piece.
Another trend I am obsessed with this season is tights... From fish nets to nearly sheer they are all over the cat walk. I'm not going to lie I used to absolutely hate fish net tights and actually just tights in general and I still think they can look a bit trashy if worn the wrong way but this season the catwalk has shown how to rock them the right way by wrapping up everywhere else with lots of layers and this is exactly what I done with this look.
I love experimenting with outfits when I see new/different trends on the runway and seeing how it works with my own personal style.. Comment below and let me know what you guys think of the fish nets..yes or no? I'd love to hear your feedback!
More A/W looks coming soon!
